Presently a freelance content writer & content strategist, D. Nambiar (Dee) is a journalist by education and work experience with stints in mainstream journalism (print), online journalism, and travel Journalism.

She took to blogging so as to keep in touch with writing while she was taking a break from the job scene. However, a travel – blogger she will always be, she swears.

Tripping has always been an interest; something she’s always been ‘in for,’ be it a trip to a far-away-destination, or an attraction in her –figurative– backyard, or even a long drive. So there were no second thoughts when it came to picking a niche, she says.

Travelling gives her a high. So does writing. Hence the name of the blog. 😉

Tipsy from the TRIP – the blog

Tipsy from the TRIP came into being in 2008, starting off as a collection of her travelogues from the recent past, travel tidbits, and pictures from Dee’s travel albums (also a few stories originally published in the publications she worked for).

Follow Tipsy from the TRIP — the blog and social media channels — to vicariously travel to natural wonders, fascinating lithic landscapes, volcanic sites, pretty lakes and manmade marvels too. You’ll see silly street art and eye-opening murals. You can weave in an out of seasonal sights like cherry and almond blossoms, tulip fields and hillsides of golden poppies in spring to leaf-peeping in fall.

You’ll know of hidden pockets, ‘things to know before you go someplace,’ and ‘tips for your trips.’ This year the blog is looking at inspiring trippers to embrace the outdoors by hiking-once-a-week.

Come, trip along. Let’s go get tipsy from the trip! 😉
