Mysore’s Chamundi Hills is one of the bigger attractions in this royal city. And the attractions on top of this hill include a statute of the demi-god Mahishasura, Chamundeshwari temple, a Nandi statue and sweeping views of Mysore from the top of the hill.

He’s not caged. The scaffolding is a sign that Dussehra is around the corner (for, that was when we visited there, last) and the Asura is getting ready for a coat of paint. |

I climbed down the hill once — took those 1000 steps down. When I was in college. It's fun when you have company.
