Blue Whale Skeleton |
I’ve never seen a Blue Whale. However, I was fortunate enough to see the skeleton of the ‘largest living creature’ at Seymour Marine Discovery Center at Santa Cruz, California. Below is a picture of a Blue Whale’s scull.

Wow. That should have been an experience, Divya.
It was. I'd read about the size of the Blue Whale and all that but seeing this huge skeleton was something! ๐
OMG, amazing pics
That's quite an OMG thing ๐
Thanks Rupam. ๐
I have always had a hard time getting a handle on the size of a whale … pictures don't do it justice, but this is very impressive. I am sure you must have been amazed … I know I am. Great pictures …

I sure was, Andrea.
With all that we've read and heard about the size of the Blue Whale, seeing something like this shouldn't be surprising. But when we stand near something this huge, we can't help feeling awed. You're right, pics don't do justice. The ones above also don't, I swear. ๐
Long live these creatures!
Yeah! Whale bones always amaze me with their size! OMG indeed ๐
I remember going whale watching and being awed by the size of the humpbacks. Gosh! if I were to see Blue Whales in the water… ๐
I hope you are doing good, Kusum.
Wow, those whale bones are really impressive! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. ๐
