Today, we leave the (SF)Bay Area, behind and go into California’s wine country. This is a mural from Napa — a picture of the Napa River. I found Napa river mural in Downtown Napa, on a walk to the waterfront, some time back.
This artwork in is — I hear — by Steve Della Maggiora.

A lot of talented painters over there. Nice one indeed.
I'm sure. I should be looking for more art around there, I guess.
Thank you for visiting, SC. 🙂
I'd love to get a better view of this. It looks quite beautiful.
Me too. I took this pic way before I started linking up to Monday Murals. If I go that side in the near future, I'm sure I'll be returning with a better pic. 🙂
Thank you for stopping by, Liz.
A very detailed painting, more something for a museum.
Detailed, it is.
I wish I had a better pic.
Thank you.
I guess I never knew that Napa had a waterfront.
Now you do 😉
Yeah Tom. It's a lovely place; great for an evening stroll. When the lights come on in the evenings, it is such a pretty sight.
Thank you for dropping in here, today. 🙂
Almost like a photo that has been enlarged. Lots of detail!
I have to agree with you, EG CameraGirl 🙂
The shade has added to the beauty of the mural.
Ah! the photographer in you noticed the light. 🙂
That was a very pretty picture. The shade sure made it cooler. 🙂
Thank you for stopping by, USP. 🙂
Beautiful view of the Napa River in this mural.
That it is.
And with all those building and boats, that sure was a great peek at the area.
Welcome here, Nicol. 🙂
Lovely mural. You are a lot into murals off late, which is nice.
Actually nomad, these are pics from a while ago. I found a meme for murals and thought I had an excuse to use them. But now I'm going to be looking at murals a little more seriously and taking pictures more consciously, hoping to link them up. 😉
Thank you, Nomad. 🙂
Beautiful
That, it is. 🙂
Thank you for visiting, Rupam. 🙂
Your mural find reminds us that Napa actually had a functioning waterfront even though it's considered an inland town. Very cool historical mural. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
The picture does talk of a time when the river was used for transportation, doesn't it? When I was there, I saw nothing but a little boat on the river.
Thank YOU for hosting.
Lovely…looks like real photo…
Yeah, the painting does look quite real. 🙂
Thank you, Ranjana.
I thought a little bit of Europe in California, till i read the post that it is from Napa river 🙂
Oh yes, there is a hint of Europe there, right? 🙂
Fabulous mural DN, I've heard the Napa Valley is really beautiful.. and then there's all that wine 🙂
Thank you, Grace.
It is, if you like seeing stretches and stretches of vineyards. I love my drives into Napa. 🙂
And yes, there's all that wine. 😉
Wow… a gorgeous mural. Love the detail. Looks so natural.
And yeah… Enjoy the wine. 🙂
Nice!!
