San Francisco after dark

San Francisco at night

San Francisco has a charm that few other cities can boast of. If it is charming by day, it’s very pretty and dreamy by night. I recently got to take in all that nighttime beauty when I had a nice long walk with a friend of mine. Here’s a sneak peek at San Francisco at night

It was literally a gorgeous girls’ night out. Since it was late February, night had set in early as it does every time winter is here. The lights had come on and the skyscrapers looked bejeweled. The artistic Victorian buildings that San Francisco is so famous for, was bathed in soft lights, looking as lovely as always.

Transamerica Pyramid looked stunning.
The Coit Tower looked like a light house out of a story book.
And the Bay Bridge was perfectly decked up.

That night as I stood and admired the Bay Bridge, I made a silent wish — to be able to see the Golden Gate Bridge in all its nighttime glory. And sure enough, a couple of months later, that wish was fulfilled.

    1. Thanks Doc. Looks interesting, right? I enjoyed all your New York pictures. In fact I like all that you put up on Chayachitrakar. 🙂

    1. Thanks D. 🙂
Just how do you come out with different names for different posts, Deepak? My favourite was when 'Jimmy' left a comment on the dogs post. 😀

    1. That's cool building right, the first one. Oh and very familiar too, eh? 🙂
The last one got a little shaken :(. I wish I had a better picture. That bridge looked much, much better that evening.

    1. I remember your telling me that you were in SF for a while. Now that's a city you're likely to miss! I'll keep putting up pictures, ok 🙂

    1. Thank yo so much, Saikat. Isn't the Transamerica Pyramid such a stunning building, it does look best at night with all those lights. I love those shots too. 🙂

    1. Raj, your visiting this post and leaving a comment is a big compliment in itself. And I am a fan of YOUR writing. I'm dying to know who committed that murder at Sundaram villa 🙂

Hey Raj, thank you so very much for all the lovely things you said in your comment here. 🙂

And girls's nite out in SFO–sounds so awesome. I have been mostly alone in this city–I know the drug dens and hidden dance spots:)Need to get gurlfriends to enjoy it the way you have done!
In btw, I do not think I have come to this blog of yours. It is different….

    1. Me too Bhavana; love the city. Celebrity love city? 🙂
Thank you so much. The last picture in this post is that of the Bay Bridge. Shall put the night shots of Golden Gate Bridge real soon.

We just had a harmless girls' evening out. A nice long walk after we went to catch some of the Chinese New year parade.
Drug dens and dance spots? That sounds like fun 😉

You have been this blog too, Bhavana. I remember seeing your comments on a Winery post and the SuperCroc post too (remember the crocodile that ate dinosaurs?).

    1. SJ, I do hope you get to see SF sometime. That city does something magical to all who lay eyes on it. You fall completely in love with it. 🙂

Europe's not bad either. 'I' wish I could see some of Europe soon.

      Thank you so much, SJ.
