Rumor has it that Big Foot has been sighted in Shaver Lake, CA — more than a couple of times. Well, neither do I have proof for that nor did I see one while we vacationed there for Spring break, earlier this year. What I did see for sure was a mural of the ape-like creature.
Shaver Lake is a small town in Fresno County and on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada. The main attraction in the area is a lake of the same name — a man-made reservoir up on California’s snowy range. When we were up there in April, I spotted this mural on the way back into town after a drive to the lake.
I have no idea about who the artist behind the mural is but it sure suits the place because it looks like several people have reported seeing, hearing, and smelling the ‘sasquatch’ in the wilderness here. Below is a clip you could watch to hear what locals have to say about the presence of Big Foot in the Shaver Lake area.
If you are interested in the search for Big Foot and would like to go and see for yourself, know that you’ll at least see the creature on a mural beside Toll House Road in Shaver Lake, CA.
Also in the mural is the lake that the place is named after, the dam, and the fish you might find in the waters of Shaver Lake. This lake in the Sierra Mountain Range is also called the Home of the Trophy Trout.
