Softly the evening came. The sun from the western horizon
Like a magician extended his golden wand o’er the landscape;
Twinkling vapors arose; and sky and water and forest
Seemed all on fire at the touch, and melted and mingled together.

If you like watching sunsets at quiet beaches, Sunset State Beach in Watsonville, CA seems like a perfect location. Sunset Beach lies at the end of Sunset Beach Road (past the campsites on the hill). It looks like if it’s not summer, the beach is a pretty deserted place at dusk.

      Yeah, deserted beaches are becoming such a luxury, right? We went to Sunset Beach just to see the sunset (after a long day at Gilroy Premium Outlets). And when we got to the beach, we found that we were the only ones there and were kinda surprised. We wondered if it was ok to be there at that time of the day. A few minutes later a mom and daughter and their dog came by to see the sunset, followed by two elderly couples. That was pretty much everybody at the beach that evening. 🙂

    I want to ask a really stupid question. Do you take those photographs yourself? Because if you do, I just love the aesthetics of the photos posted on this blog. You have pretty much gained an avid reader.

    Oh and after a few months, a new post is up on my blog. Feel free to check it out.

    I like the third picture with sun half hidden by the horizon. If you are capturing too many frames, you should try time-slicing. You can check out google for how to do it. You definitely need a tripod. 🙂

      Magical time, really right? I remember watching a city sunset in Chennai (and taking a few pics too) in the middle of a concrete jungle and saying gosh, sunsets are always magical. 🙂

      I rarely see sunrises, though. (It's so tough to wake myself up that early). 😉

      Always lovely to hear from you Arti. 🙂 Thank you.
