Street art: San Francisco murals
San Francisco murals

Tipsy from the TRIP is going to be linking to the meme Monday Mural from this week onwards. It looks like there are several pictures of paintings-on-the-walls in the travel albums. To  start with, here are some San Francisco murals:

San Francisco murals - Bill Weber
Artist: Bill Weber

Zio Ziegler mural

Another San Francisco Mural. I looked up some info on murals in SF and learned that the artist behind this mural is Zio Ziegler.

PS. I do not know whose work of art, some of these are. If you know, do let me know.

Thank you for stopping by this post on San Francisco murals. 🙂

I find that my eyes catch a lot of murals during my trips. And almost always I seem to have a camera on me. (These days I always have a cell phone camera that is not too bad.) So I end up clicking a picture or two of the art I come across. Thus, I bring back a bit of it with me.

I’m glad I got to know about Monday Mural. Now I have reason to relook at those murals and put them up here on the blog.

Very impressive. In India walls are mostly covered with movie actors' posters.

      Fun stuff, eh.
Bangalore does have some murals too, right? The problem with them is that when they need touch-up, they don't get it, and then they begin to look not so good. 🙁

Thank you for stopping by, Indrani. 🙂

This is definitely not your typical graffiti we see down this way. It is very nice and you captured it beautifully.

Breathtakingly beautiful. And they must be adding so much character to the city as such!

Special thanks for sharing it with your tweeple. 🙂

It does. Really. San Francisco is a city with a lot of character and these murals only add to the charm that is unique to it.

      Thanks again, Richa.

Oh yes. There's a lot of talent out there. I always wonder how these mural artists 'stand back and watch the effect' from time to time when their canvases are so big.

Thank you for coming by. 🙂
