Found in Sequim: Painted Shed

A painted shed found at an animal farm in north Washington; one for 'Monday Mural.' ...

Painted Shed, Olympic Game Farm.

Iโ€™d almost forgotten that I had these pictures from my Washington trip last year. These are from an animal farm that was not in our itinerary but we ended up going to. Itโ€™s funny, we were there because the kids wanted to feed some animals they had heard about and my favorite part of the hour we spent there was spotting this cute little painted shed.

Iโ€™m thinking itโ€™s a storage shed of some sort. It was located at a corner of the parking lot and it appeared locked. The pleasant light blue and green on it made me take notice of it. And when I looked closer I noticed there were some birds and plants too painted on to it โ€” the fauna and flora of the Olympic Peninsula, maybe.

This painted shed was at a place called Olympic Game Farm in Sequim, near Port Angeles, WA. And how did we end up there? One morning at breakfast our waitress, a friendly, lively lady was making small talk with the kids and asking them what plans they had for the day. Then she went on to mention the farm where kids could feed some animals and they got all excited. Our plan for the day was to visit more of the Olympic National Park and see Hurricane Ridge, particularly. Surprisingly we were back in Port Angeles earlier than we thought and there was just enough time to drive to do what the kids now wanted to do โ€” feed some animals. When we got there we realized that it was a drive-through tour. The kids had fun.
