‘How about we stop shooting each other?’ asks this mural I found in Venice, California. Now let’s just let that question sink in.
I seem to have missed this when I shared all those murals from Venice. Or maybe I’d just left it out because I didn’t have a picture of a the whole mural.
Whatever the case is, the message of this mural in southern California, is loud and clear. And sadly, these kinds of messages are almost always timely. There’s just too much shooting news in the news!
Painted in bright colors, this mural is sure to catch one’s attention and hopefully leave a mark. The mural goes on to say: End Scary Stuff & End Gun Violence.
This mural is signed, ‘Hammer-Ramsey.’ And I found out that this work was a joint effort by Armie Hammer and artist Tyler Ramsey and that the mural is a part of a series of artwork aimed to #endgunviolencetogether as the hashtag at the right-bottom corner of the mural will tell you.
See the full mural HERE.
Have you come across any street art speaking against gun violence? I’m sure we could with more. We could see more spraying of paint than spraying of bullets, something we hear of all too often.
Seriously, how about we just stop shooting one another?🤷🏻♀️

I agree, we need more murals like this one – sadly I never saw one here…
It might be a good thing that you haven’t seen one. 🙂
The US really needs more of these. 😐
Have a good week, Iris.
Nice message there!
One that some places seem to really need. 😐
Very timely message and great mural Dee. If only gun violence or any other violence would stop!!
Thanks for contributing to Monday Mural
It’s sad that it’s always timely. Too many incidents!!!
