Colorful Bus Shelters of the Tri-Valley – I

Colorful bus shelters, Livermore, CA
Found in Livermore, CA

The city of Livermore, CA has several colorful bus shelters with murals painted on them. Some weeks ago, I came across this colorful bus stop as I was returning from my hike in Holdner Park. This particular bus shelter art mural in Livermore was put together by art students of Granada High School in the city.

It looks like it might have been a tribute to American pop artist Keith Haring or a recreation of one of his works. It definitely is in his style of work!

This mural that is supposed to have been created in 2017 is part of an art project put together by the City of Livermore and Wheels — Tri-Valley’s Public Transportation Agency. The idea is to enhance Livermore’s Streetscape Aesthetics.

We just drove by another of these recently. Now that I know there’s one there, I’ll be stopping to check it out soon. However, if you’d like to see more murals of this series of bus stop art right away, visit this fb link — Livermore’s Artistic Bus Shelters

  1. Beautiful! “Our” bus stop in Madeley/Perth is always so boring. Last time for 6 weeks we saw a lotto-ad, waiting for the bus.
Looking forward to more! From you, of course 😉

    1. haha! Oh gosh!
Better ads — and maybe even art — will come to your bus stops soon, I hope.

And I’ll bring you some too — that’s for sure.
I hope you are having a good week, Iris. 🙂

    1. I just learnt about him, Elizabeth. I’ve added a link — you’ll find it interesting. 🙂

Thank you, Elizabeth. I think so too — I love the idea of including students or getting them to work on public art. It’s nice to see more and more of that.
I hope you are having a good week. 🙂
