Sometimes the adjective is Majestic, sometimes simply Splendid. When I saw the Golden Gate Bridge dressed in mist on a midsummer day, the word was just ‘Gorgeous.’ Yes, midsummer. It was one mid day, in the middle of California’s summer of 2012 that I got to see the Golden Gate Bridge fog.
We were on the way to Stinson Beach and it was already noon when we crossed the Golden Gate Strait (the strip of water that lies between San Francisco and Marin County) and I was surprised to see that the mist was still hanging around.
Now, I’ll leave you to get tipsy from the sight —
A picture through the car’s sunroof. Do you see the mid day sun? |

Thanks Rupam. Nice to hear that from YOU 🙂
Looks like it's hanging from the heaven…
Hmm… yeah.:)
Totally your-kinda-picture alle, Ikka? Yesterday we went to another place north of San Francisco and it looked amazing in the fog. On our way back later that evening, there was fog on the Golden Gate Bridge. Gosh, even in the dark, it looked heavenly with the lights on it looking all smudged.
So, so nice to see you here. Seeing your comment made my day. 🙂
Lovely captures! GGB is always a wonder and delight to see!
Thanks Kusum. 🙂
I swear.
I'm sure you'll agree with me when I say that at any hour of the day and any side you look at it from, the Golden Gate Bridge is always an exciting sight.

Hey D, Hope you are fine and healthy as a horse 😛

It is. Do that Mr. Wind, and see it for yourself. SF has a unique charm to it.
Gosh yes, it's been a while right? I'm doing ok. How about you? Catch you on G+ one of these days.
Thank you, Rupert. 🙂
I've always fantasized of Golden Gate bridge with a mist! They are so lovely!
Isn't it, Anu? 🙂
I'd seen pictures of the bridge in the mist and really thick fog also but hadn't gotten to see it like this for myself until last August. And then yesterday when I passed that way once again, it was a foggy night. That was quite a sight too 😉
A tried to clear the mist from my eyes as I scanned through this misty series of the Golden Gate bridge, Divya:)
That way it looks strong and Majestic. It's awe inspiring with or without the mist, I swear. 🙂
Must be an amazing view in-personal.

It always is. I've seen it several times, gone across it and seen it from different angle. I never get tired of the sight of the Golden Gate Bridge. 🙂

It is a breathtaking sight. I've found that for me it is just that, with or without the mist. It's a great structure.

Thanks for sharing these magical mystical and stunning images of the Bridge. Have been here a few times when my daughter used to live in Daly City.
It's my pleasure to be sharing these pics, Mr. Ram. Isn't it one of a kind of a place? 🙂 Oh, she lived here in the Bay Area earlier? Nice to know that. So you must have gotten to see some of the lovely sights this side has to offer. 🙂
After Daly City she moved to Sunny vale for a short while before relocating to Boise.
