Back in the summer, we spent some time in Oregon. While we were in Central Oregon, I came across a couple of murals in Bend – OR. The first piece of art looks like a picture of the Three Sisters and a part of the Deschutes River that flows through the city of Bend.

The Three Sisters is a group of three Volcanoes of the Cascade Range that lie not far from this city. (They will be featuring here on Tipsy from the TRIP, soon. So will the Deschutes River. Please come back to read about them.)

The second mural clearly is a painting of the Deschutes River. Both these murals in Bend, seem to carry signatures of a  Francisco studio.

I am glad to see the Deschutes river in these murals. The only thing I know about it is the Deschutes brewery, so this expands my horizons.

Nice mural. There are also “Three sisters” in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, Australia.

Cool images. There seem to be a lot of murals in Eastern Washington and eastern Oregon. Super.

      🙂

I have come across murals in the Pacific Northwest. I haven’t really been to Eastern Washington, though. I do hope to visit those parts sometime and I hope I’ll get to catch some murals while I am there. 🙂

      Thank you, MB.

Lots to look at. And then I noticed the petroglyphs. Way cool. Thanks for contributing to this week’s Monday Mural.
