The grandeur of The Venetian Las Vegas is something one cannot ignore. It’s there in the rooms, the hallways, the pillars, the walls and even the ceilings. And when you talk about the walls and ceilings, the frescoes of The Venetian do more than just catch your eye.
The Renaissance – style art just had to be a part of the resort modeled to be a piece of Italy in Las Vegas. These frescoes that The Venetian wears with such pomp, are said to have been hand-painted by distinguished artists from Italy.
The artwork on the dome that you see above was one of the first set of paintings that I saw when we arrived at The Venetian, Las Vegas. And then there was more art around the dome. What I saw next was something I was totally unprepared for. The hallway that lead to the casino and guest rooms almost threw me into a trance, for there — above my head was a very ornate arched ceiling and on it was a whole gallery of paintings.
If you have been to this casino-resort, I’m sure you will remember the frescoes of The Venetian, if not, this is your chance to see it. Enjoy the art.
The awe-inspiring frescoes of The Venetian:
Later, when I stepped out and was waiting at the valet parking I noticed there was something I had missed when I first walked in. There were paintings on the ceilings of the porch, too. Do come back to see them in the next post.
