A porte-cochère of frescoes

Art -- out there on the car porch of The Venetian. Inspired by the Renaissance era, the frescoes out on the porte-cochère only adds to the show of magnificence that The Venetian is. Have you seen a porch more ornate than this one? >>

Does that look like just another car porch? This is The Venetian’s carriage-porch. Look up at the ceilings and you will see that it is quite an ornate one. There is ‘art’ on The Venetian’s car porch.  Yes, there are Renaissance-style paintings not just inside the resort but also out here on its porte-cochère.

Below is another picture of the porch and here you will see the artwork better.

A closer look at some of the subjects in those frescoes on the ceiling:

I’d missed these paintings on The Venetian’s car porch when I first there. It was only later when we were waiting by the Valet Desk that I spotted this absolutely stunning art-on-the-ceiling. (Don’t forget to look up at these paintings if you find yourselves on the porch of The Venetian, Las Vegas.)

These works of art, likes the ones inside might have been done by artists brought in from Italy.

This art on The Venetian’s car porch are a part of resort’s efforts to bring in Italian art in order to add to its very-Venetian character. This is not all. This casino-resort in Las Vegas, Nevada has Renaissance-era architecture, suites with Italian marbles in the bathrooms and even an indoor and outdoor grand canal with gondolas, gondoliers et al.

haha! Right, Iris. 🙂 Somebody thought about all the waiting that is done there on the car porch and the waiting area by the valet desk. 🙂
I agree — great idea. We could have more of these. 🙂
