As the sun sets on 2021, I’m taking you to Southern California to show you some Mission Beach Sunsets from San Diego, CA.
We were in San Diego a few weeks back. This time we stayed on the beach so we were fortunate to catch a few sunsets (and a couple of moonsets, too 😉). I made sure I spent my evenings sky-watching as one should when on a beach on the west coast.
Mission Beach Sunsets
Day 1: The first day was a clear one. And the sunset was a pretty one; just the kind you want to see when you haven’t seen a coastal sunset for a while. Picture-perfect!
Day 2: On the second day the sky was totally cloudless, again. As the sun set, the horizon was a clean, straight line, and the sky — a flawless blend of yellow, orange and red. It felt like being in a painting!
Day 3: Much as I liked and enjoyed and photographed the clear sunset skies, I hoped for some clouds on my third and final evening on Mission Beach. I wanted to see some drama on the horizon that day. And wasn’t it a lucky evening! There weren’t a whole of clouds or a big show of light and color but there were some wispy clouds. The delicate clouds were enough to make me a happy girl that evening!
Here are some more pictures from those Mission Bay Sunsets that I got to see before the end of the year:
Here’s wishing you (and myself 😁) some glorious sunsets in 2022.
Happy New Year to YOU! 🙂
