Today what I have for Monday Mural is not a painting on a wall but a painting on a saw on a wall. It was a hand saw used as a piece of decor. And on it was a painting — a landscape bathed in Fall colors. Now that does the job of a mural even if it is not a mural, doesn’t it? 😁
There’s a barn, a house, and lots of trees with fall foliage. Even the vegetation on the ground is in autumn hues. And all of that is painted onto the blade of the saw.
What a lovely piece of art! The artist’s name is at the bottom but I’ve not been able to read it. Do you think you can decipher that?
I thought the painting on the saw was a great idea and I love how it was used as a piece of decoration in a home up in the mountains. I looked up ‘paintings on a saw’ on the internet and saw so many images of art on hand saw blades so it’s not a rare piece, I see. 😁 Have you seen one? Or have you seen something else turned into an interesting canvas?
I found this painting-on-a-blade of a hand saw at a vacation rental in Shaver Lake, California. It’s a little mountain town up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. And the town gets its name from a lake in the area.

Come, Trip with us. 😉
Quite an unusual piece, and it’s beautifully painted too. I’d never seen one before.
Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Dee
Isn’t it? I love it! 🙂
Oh yes — so beautifully done.
Thank you for hosting, Sami. 🙂
I’ve never seen something like that. Beautiful!
It is beautiful, isn’t it?
Welcome here, Bettie. 🙂
…I have one painted saw in my man cave. This one is neat!
You do? That’s so cool.
That should make a great piece of decor for a man cave. 🙂
Neat, it is! 🙂
Have a good week, Tom.
Folk art really takes all sorts of shapes and forms!

It sure does.
Have a lovely week, Mae. 🙂
I live in the midwest, Dee. Every craft show has at least ONE artist selling these and images on old circular saw blades, too. Sadly, or luckily, this is not an uncommon appearance here.
Oh yeah? Nice to know that.
I love the idea. It’s creative. The painting seems to soften the — let me say –‘tool.’ 😀
Here’s wishing you a lovely week, Elizabeth. 🙂
Brilliant work!
It is, isn’t it?
Such a cool idea, no? 🙂
