In the middle of all the crowds, the colors, the shops, the merrymaking and the commotion of the very lively Pier 39 of San Francisco is a colorful picture to love. Considering the atmosphere here, I won’t be surprised if you’ve missed it while you were there. However, if you are planning to visit the area sometime, you are going to want to look for this Love California mural.
It’s towards the middle of the Pier on a wooden wall and chances are it’ll catch your eye on your way out of the pier.
The wall didn’t have the name of the artist. All I saw at the bottom of the mural was a hashtag — #pier39. And I haven’t been able to find anything more about this piece of art. I believe the mural says ‘Love California’ but it could also be California Love. What would YOU read it as?
Or could it be both Love California and California Love? 🙂
While you are there on Pier39, if you’d like to see some more art, look out for —
The marine creatures on the walls of the Aquarium of the Bay
The Painted Seal Lions of San Francisco
The Coca-Cola Stairs

Come, Trip with us. 😉
Wow, Dee. I didn’t even notice the Love at first because the word California was so predominant and the Love was in the background. It is truly colorful!
The ‘Love’ is easy to miss, there — in the middle of all those flowers and leaves and colors. 🙂
It sure is a mural to love! 😁
Thank you so so much, Elizabeth. Have a great week ahead! 🙂
Nice and bright mural. At first it looked like a Coke advert. Thanks for participating in Monday Murals Dee.
Isn’t it?
That font does quite look like the Coca-Cola one.
Thank you so much for hosting, Sami.
Have a superb week. 🙂
…I bet that this is a popular spot for people to take selfies! It sure is neat!!!
It is — for those people who spot it. 😁
On the way in, it’s easy to miss it thanks to the crowds and the activity in the area.
Thank you for stopping by, Tom. 🙂

Very attractive, is it not?!
Thank you for your visit, Ashok. 🙂
