The face behind Venice of America
After we were done with our walking tour of Venice Canal Historic District, while we were walking back to the public parking, I caught sight of a mural in memory of the person behind the idea of ‘Venice of America.’ This almost 3-storey mural is of Abbot Kinney, who had planned to turn this part of town into a miniature Venice. Oh what lovely murals. I have never been here. As a matter of fact, I have never really been in SoCal outside of Disney and Universal Studios.
Venice, CA is a very, very, interesting place. And there is so much art here. So much life and colour. 🙂
