Trash containers with art on them. Check. Now, let’s look at some sea murals, also from Morro Bay, California.
Morro Bay on the state’s Central Coast seemed to have quite a bit of public art but I got to see only a portion of it. During our weekend there, we spent one morning doing a leisurely walk through Embarcadero. That was when I spotted those trash receptacles (the ones you saw in the previous MondayMural post). During that stroll, I also saw these surf and underwater murals on some store and restaurant walls.
Under-the-Sea Murals
Look at this stuff. Isn’t it neat?
This very-attractive mural of a mermaid probably gliding to the top didn’t bear the name of an artist. But I did come across some online pictures of the mural. They were photographs taken while the mural was in the process of being painted and I saw that it was a ‘group effort.’
On Embarcadero, we also saw a painting of a mermaid and a sea horse. It was on one of those boards that have a little space cut out so that you can put your face through it. I wonder what they are called.
(The minute we spotted it, the little ones had to go stick their faces in there and demand a few clicks. :D)
Further down the road, I came across these sea-and-surf murals. These aren’t bad either, are they?
Talking of surf, I also spotted this little
