These rainbow stairs were created by Tanya "M!scre8" Watler and were spotted on The Strip in Las Vegas. More about it in this post...
Rainbow Stairs - Las Vegas, NV
‘The Future is Colorful’

You’ve seen the Coca Cola Stairs and the Piano Stairs in San Francisco, here on this blog. Today, we travel south east to Sin City to see the Rainbow Stairs in Las Vegas!

This colorful staircase, which starts off with shades of yellow and goes into hues of reds, greens and blues is a work of art by artist Tanya Michelle Watler who goes by “M!SCRE8.” This work is titled Colors that Speak to a United City and was found on a walk along ‘The Strip’ in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Colors that Speak to a United City, a 50-foot mural, which is made of 73 colors is an attempt to talk about ‘inclusion and hope.’

Tanya “M!scre8” Watler is said to have completed this in 2019 and is believed to have taken around 72 hours to spray several coats of paint on these colorful steps. These stairs are also known as The Future is Colorful Stairs. It can be seen at the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas.

If you’d like to see these rainbow stairs while you are in Las Vegas, it’s quite easy to catch sight of it from the Vegas Strip. If you need the exact address, it’s located at 3200 Las Vegas Blvd, and is on the south end of the plaza.

I found these colorful steps towards the very end of 2022 and hope they’ll still be there when you visit Sin City next time. Las Vegas has a lot of public art and if you like murals, your eyes are sure to have a feast! Linked below are some works that I’ve spotted during my visits. Stay tuned from more from this colorful city in the desert.
And if you have murals from Vegas to share, please feel free to leave links to your blogposts or social media channels.:)
